What they think of you is up to them

admin admin, 05/11/2025

A person cannot be without what is not within. What flows out of a man comes out because that is what a person is filled with. How does a person reveal who they are to you? Through their interaction in words and behavior, these manifestations outside the body come from within the body.

When you know the negative things someone thinks about you or what they say about you, you know what that person feels about themselves, because that’s what’s coming out or what’s being felt. What comes out of you cannot be what is in you, can it? Even if a person deserves to hear negative criticism, it is still the speaker who is exposed. So we are all constantly expressing ourselves. Say you were a judge in a court of law, however, what you felt and judged for or against would be tied to your conditioned mind, which is good for being on a jury for many opinions and conditions that approach a particular subject to them.

In the past few years, some of us have become familiar with this phenomenon, which we call “projecting your insecurities onto others.” This is true, however, we don’t seem to remember this knowledge in our engagements. People are constantly hurt by others and let others cut deeper than they say. Words are powerful because they are spiritual (untouchable), and as humans are spirits, words reach home (our intuition). That said, feeling some sort of hurt is understandable and warranted. However, knowledge is a spirit directly from the Holy Spirit, so the knowledge received can inform your ways of feeling, thinking and being.

Wisdom is also a spirit, it comes from the Spirit of God, and what is wisdom but the exercise of knowledge? We must go in wisdom, not in feelings. We must acknowledge, feel, and process our emotions because they are part of our human experience, but they are not our entire experience, nor are they the most important part. They are just information only. We should not be moved or live by our emotions, we should be motivated and live by wisdom, which is only from God Almighty.

Let any negativity that comes from another intended to hurt you be directly understood as hurting them. Remember that when someone talks to you, good or bad comes out of their mouth, it’s like you’re holding a mirror and they’re not talking to you, they’re talking to themselves. Sometimes life makes this scene clear when someone expresses their emotions because what comes out is what is inside. But remember that this truth does not begin and end with feelings, it continues through ways of thinking and being. Few of us are aware of body language and how it communicates externally what a person feels internally about themselves. Body language is not only about inaudible movements, but also about what comes out of the mouth. Always remember this because mindfulness is key to practicing the knowledge gained and living and walking wisely.
